【摘要】:ThispartofIEC61788coversatestmethodforthedeterminationofthed.c.criticalcurrentofNb3Sncompositesuperconductorswhicharefabricatedbyeitherthebronzeprocessortheinternaltindiffusionprocessandhaveacopper/non-copperratiolargerthan0,2.Thismethodisintendedforusewithsuperconductorswhichhavecriticalcurrentsoflessthan1000Aandn-valueslargerthan12understandardtestconditionsandatmagneticfieldsoflessthanorequalto0,7timestheuppercriticalmagneticfield.Thetestspecimenisimmersedinaliquidheliumbathataknowntemperatureduringtesting.TheNb3Sncompositetestconductorhasamonolithicstructurewithatotalround-cross-sectionalareathatislessthan2mm2.Thespecimengeometryusedinthistestmethodisaninductivelycoiledspecimen.Deviationsfromthistestmethodwhichareallowedforroutinetestsandotherspecificrestrictionsaregiveninthisstandard.Nb3Snconductorswithcriticalcurrentsabove1000Aortotalcross-sectionalareasgreaterthan2mm2canbemeasuredwiththepresentmethodwithananticipatedreductioninprecisionandamoresignificantself-fieldeffect(seeAnnexC).Other,morespecialized,specimentestgeometriesmaybemoreappropriateforlargerconductortestingwhichhavebeenomittedfromthispresentstandardforsimplicityandtoretainprecision.ThetestmethodgiveninthisstandardshouldinprincipleapplytoNb3Sncompositewiresfabricatedbyanyotherprocess.Thismethodisalsoexpectedtoapplytoothersuperconductingcompositewiresaftersomeappropriatemodifications.
