【摘要】:Thistestmeasuresanimportantpropertytousersofsewthroughflangebuttons.Thisisameansofdeterminingtheresistanceofthebridgeofthebuttontoastrainwhichcancauseittofalloffagarmenttowhichitisattached.Iftherearedifferencesofpracticalsignificancebetweenthereportedtestresultsfortwolaboratories(ormore),comparativetestsshouldbeperformedtodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweenthem,usingcompetentstatisticalassistance.Asaminimum,testsamplesshouldbeusedthatareashomogeneousaspossible,thataredrawnfromthematerialfromwhichthedisparatetestresultswereobtained,andthatarerandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting,Othermaterialswithestablishedtestvaluesmaybeusedforthispurpose.Thetestresultsforthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingastatisticaltestforunpaireddata,ataprobabilitylevelchosenpriortothetestingseries.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrected,orfuturetestresultsmustbeadjustedinconsiderationoftheknownbias.1.1Thistestmethodmeasurestheresistanceofthebridgeofasew-throughbuttontoasteadilyincreasingstrain.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasthestandard.Withinthetext,theinch-poundunitsareshowninparentheses.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththepractice.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
