【摘要】:Ithasbeenshownthatbendingstressesthatinadvertentlyoccurduetomisalignmentbetweentheappliedforceandthespecimenaxesduringtheapplicationoftensileandcompressiveforcescanaffectthetestresults.Inrecognitionofthiseffect,sometestmethodsincludeastatementlimitingthemisalignmentthatispermitted.Thepurposeofthispracticeistoprovideareferencefortestmethodsandpracticesthatrequiretheapplicationoftensileorcompressiveforcesunderconditionswherealignmentisimportant.Theobjectiveistoimplementtheuseofcommonterminologyandmethodsforverificationofalignmentoftestmachines,associatedfixturesandtestspecimens.Unlessotherwisespecified,axialityrequirementsandverificationsshouldbeoptionalwhentestingisperformedforacceptanceofmaterialsforminimumstrengthandductilityrequirements.Thisisbecauseanyeffectsespeciallyfromexcessivebending,wouldbeexpectedtoreducestrengthandductilitypropertiesandgiveconservativeresults.Theremaybenobenefitfromimprovedaxialitywhentestinghighductilitymaterialstodetermineconformancewithminimumproperties.Whetherornottoimproveaxialityshouldbeamatterofnegotiationbetweenthematerialproducerandtheuser.1.1Includedinthispracticearemethodscoveringthedeterminationoftheamountofbendingthatoccursduringtheapplicationoftensileandcompressiveforcestonotchedandunnotchedtestspecimensintheelasticrangeandtoplasticstrainslessthan0.002.Thesemethodsareparticularlyapplicabletotheforceapplicationratesnormallyusedfortensiontesting,creeptesting,anduniaxialfatiguetesting.
