【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardspecifiesrequirementsforribbedweldablereinforcingsteelusedforthereinforcementofconcretestructures.Thestandardcoverssteeldeliveredintheformofbars,coilsanddecoiledproducts.Thestandardcontainsprovisionsforthreesteelgrades,allof500MPacharacteristicyieldstrength,butwithdifferentductilitycharacteristics.ThethreegradesareB500A,B500BandB500C.Theweldabilityrequirementsforallgradesofsteelarespecifiedintermsofthechemicalcomposition,andinparticularthecarbonequivalentvalue.Steelbarsproducedbyre-rollingfinishedproducts,orbyrollingmaterialofwhichthemetallurgicalhistoryisnotfullydocumentedornotknown,arenotcoveredbythisBritishStandard.NOTEFlashweldsinlengthsofbararepermissibleunderthisstandard,providedallthemechanicalrequirementsaremet.However,forsomepurposes,purchasersmightspecificallyrequirebarswithoutflashwelds,andifsothisoughttobestatedatthetimeofenquiryand/ororder.
